Most failed codes are not expired - they are misapplied. Run these checks before giving up.

The checklist

1. Exact item: codes are often limited to specific variants, sizes, or colors. Confirm the deal's linked variant matches your cart.

2. Exact seller: on marketplaces, the code usually applies only when the item ships from the seller who issued it.

3. Quantity and minimums: some codes require a minimum spend or fail on multi-quantity carts.

4. Account restrictions: first-order-only and one-per-account limits are common and invisible until checkout.

5. Region: codes are typically valid in one country's store only.

6. Timing: end times follow the merchant's time zone. A code can be dead hours before your local midnight.

7. Case and whitespace: paste the code exactly; a trailing space is enough to fail validation.
