Why a deal price can differ at checkout

Timing, variants, sellers, and regions - where listing and checkout prices diverge.

A listed deal price is a snapshot; the checkout total is live. Four things explain nearly every gap between them.

Timing

Prices move continuously and our data refreshes on a daily cycle, with every offer's end time enforced in real time. Each page shows its last sync so you know how old the snapshot is.

Variant selection

The deal applies to a specific ASIN. Switching color, size, or capacity on the product page switches to a different price. Follow the deal link and keep the pre-selected variant.

Buy box changes

Marketplace listings rotate which seller wins the default offer. A different seller can mean a different price, shipping cost, or coupon eligibility.

Region and membership

Some prices require a membership or differ by delivery address. When the source data flags membership pricing we surface it, but the checkout screen is authoritative.

The rule

Never complete a purchase on the strength of a listing price alone - ours or anyone's. If the checkout number is wrong, walk away; nothing on a deal site obligates the merchant.
